Lands End to John O'Groats - The Charities

Any money that is donated through either of these links would be much appreciated by the team. All three of us feel very strongly about our charities and would like to raise as much as possible. Anything is a bonus, so please don't feel obliged to donate large sums. Large or small, it all adds up to helping kids throughout the north west have a better life.

This is Kelvin and Caz’s fundraising page.  We're raising money for the Wirral Autistic Society. Wirral Autistic Society was formed in 1968 by a group of forward thinking parents who were concerned at the complete lack of services available for their children. Their drive and determination led to the opening of our first service, Raby Hall in 1977.

Wirral Autistic Society have been dedicated to caring exclusively for people with autism for over 40 years. We are committed to understanding each individual with this complex condition and to providing each with the structure to live life to the full, based on their personal needs and aspirations.

Autism is a lifelong condition which affects each person uniquely. It can affect a person’s ability to form relationships, to communicate and to understand the world around them

This is Marks fundraising pageI'm raising money for Alder Hey Hospital. Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is one of Europe’s biggest and busiest children’s hospitals providing care for over 200,000 children and young people each year. It is one of only four stand-alone paediatric trusts in UK and is staffed by 2,800 employees. Alder Hey offers 20 specialist services including being the designated national centre for head and face surgery and a Centre of Excellence for children with cancer, heart, spinal and brain disease. It is a teaching hospital and trains 550 medical and 400 nursing students each year. Alder Hey serves a catchment area of 7.5million, with around 60,000 children seen at A&E each year. In addition to the hospital site at West Derby Alder Hey has a presence at more than 40 community outreach sites and programmes and its consultants hold 800 clinic sessions each year from Cumbria to Shropshire, Wales and the Isle of Man, helping deliver care closer to home.
