Hard as nails front end. The obligatory light brows, custom grille starts things off nicely.

Below: Well well well… what do we have here? It’s the 16 valver out the 405, the monster Mi16. This too, will be transplanted into Dans new 205 shell. Shouldn’t look any different to his old one once it’s all finished.

This is Dans aggressive 205 GTi. As with every car, there’s a story with this one. He was going to be upgrading his 15’s to my 16’s that I’m getting rid of. This is what happened. In his words:

Just to let you know that I have spoken to Colin (Pug Performance), and I have said that I will have them, so he is going to send them down to me.  He said £300, so I will send the cheque to Colin, so he will probably see you about it.”

Within one week, he’d written of this lovely 205 going around a corner (wheel hit a badly laid grid) and the car was no more. Bollocks springs to mind, and a stinking letter to the council followed. Cheesed off and fed up, he made a phone call to Colin to let him know the bad news! This is when the story gets happier!

“Just to let you know that things look a little bit better, I've been on the phone to Colin, and he's got a 205 GTI up there which he's offered me, I'm going up to see it on Thursday, and if its any good, I will take what's left of my car up to him and he will change all the engine and stuff over for me. I think that I have been quite lucky actually, because most of the modified bits seem to be undamaged, like rear spoiler, grill, etc.  Although I have lost my rear lights, which were late spec, but that’s not too much of a problem.

It looks like I have got quite a good case with the council, because I have got a friend on the council, she's been able to sort tell me what to do and who to contact, so hopefully I can get them to pay for the full loss of the car, which would be good.“

That Thursday:

“Yeah I went up to Colin’s on Saturday, to have a look at this car of his, and decided to have it.  It's just bog standard at the moment, but that will soon change.  He's going to start stripping the engine out, suspension, etc .So that when I take my car up next week, it’s already to just go straight in.  The good thing is though that it’s the same colour as my other one, so all my rear spoiler, grill, eyebrows, etc. will just fit straight on, which is good. Then I can carry on with what I started with the old Pug, hopefully”

Nice and low from the side as well. It’s a crying shame when a Pugsley gets written off, especially when it looks like this baby! Luckily for Dan, Colin of PPM fame has found him a donor shell that happens to be exactly the same colour. This means Dan can just swap all his bits and get them 16’s slapped on.

Got the very rare 205 spoiler on the rear (the same as mine). These are now available from Pug Performance (£ TBA) and suit the 205 like no other! Another thing that looks nice on the darker 205’s twin headlights. Get some Dans, and really make this car stand out.

Dan’s going to send in more piccies once it’s all been transplanted into the new shell. He’s also going to be modifying a lot further once it’s back to before the crash. Nice one!

Above shows Dans Pug since June. It’s now got my 16’s on it, and my front splitter. Compared to how it looked earlier, the car is certainly looking well smart.!
